I used this head lamp on a recent night ride on my horse and I must amit I was very happy with it. Most of the time I had it on the red light, but when I needed the extra vision, the white light outperformed the lights of the other people on their horses. The low brightness on the white light was good enough to easily see anything several yards away, but then I had the bright light to help make sure that I was heading in the right direction. I was completely surprised how long the three AAA batteries will run this light. Even when on the brightest mode it will stay illuminated for over 30 HOURS!!! 55 hours at med light and 120 HOURS in the lower light cycle. It's so comfortable to wear and I love having all of the unique settings! Solid company - solid product - very happy with my purchase. Highly recommend!
